Plans to grow the business: Build the tea business by expanding the line of teas, and the number of stores served. Since we met with Ghenciu in December (2004), he and his wife have begun a second business growing and selling mushrooms. They lease space in the basement of a factory, reusing steam from the factory heating system to create the warm environment that accelerates mushroom growth. They sell quality mushrooms to shops and restaurants, and already have demand for several times the amount they can produce, and the new business is already significantly profitable.

How has the loan changed your life? It has brought me into fellowship with Jesus Savior Church. The loan allowed me to grow the tea business, and encourage me to take a step of faith to start the second (mushroom) business.

Note: Ghenciu will continue to build his businesses. He is also considering being called into full time Christian ministry.
